On April 12, the Marib Refinery was inaugurated at its maximum production capacity and on April 13, 1986, the oil company established an office for the distribution of petroleum products based in the government complex in the governorate and then the company reserved a suitable ground area of 1200 × 800 m has been building and establishing a complex that includes eight cabins ready urgently in the reserved floor was moving to the new site and the establishment of the branch and the branch undertook to receive petroleum products coming from the refinery to meet the needs of the areas located within the responsible geographical area responsible for supplying the branch, represented by the governorates of Marib and Al-Jawf and part of the governorates of Sana'a and Shabwa, through its agents from the owners of 130 private sector stations distributed over all regions, in addition to supplying government institutions and companies with petroleum materials, as well as transferring the rest of the quantity received from the refinery to other branches.
